While some competitors are recommending vinegar rinses on their machines 1-2 times a year (regardless of location), our patented cleaning systems allow the water cells to reverse polarity with every use, pushing off scale build up and keeping the cells clean. If there is hard water being used, it is still helpful to use a vinegar rinse occasionally, but not if your water source is normal or soft.
